Succulent leaf cuttingsGrowing succulents from leavesThis works for all succulents but we are showing this with jade leaves as an example Jade and Variegated Jade Plant Growing from leaves Prepare a small tray approx. 2 cm deep and fill with compost Wet the compost so that is it damp Place the Jade leaves flat on the surface of the compost with the cut edge resting against the surface Leave for two to three days Spray the tray every day with a spray bottle to keep the compost moist The Jade will over a period of 3 to 4 weeks will start to grow a new plant from the cut edge of the leaf W ait until the plant is large enough to move to a pot of its own Once the plant has started to develop the original leaf may die off
Succulents Growing from stem cuttings Guide Fill a pot with potting mix, and bury the stem and an inch and a half or so below the surface. Firm the soil around the cutting and keep in a warm place well lit area Place the pot containing cutting in a dish with a small amount of water for the first week then allow the water level to fall.
